The Future of Yeonsu-gu
In January 2015, Yeonsu-gu Office will get a new start as a future city and residents' welfare by providing welfare systems and policies and a large housing complex for resident convenience. Residents have many reasons to be excited over 2015.
A library promoting harmony between nature and residents will be opened at Haedoji Park in Songdo International Business District. Residents can use it for education and cultural purposes, and the facility will feature rooms for children's reference, story, volunteering, reading and multi-purpose.
A climate-carbon map is planned to contain greenhouse gas emissions and their cause at each energy consumption level for the latest 10 years based on climate and carbon emission information analysis through GIS. The data is unloaded onto the map to understand where and why the emissions occur and reduce greenhouse gases.
Incheon Art Center will be a cultural facility complex covering about 100,500㎡ at Zone 3 of Songdo International Business District. It will allow Songdo to emerge as an international hub of Northeast Asia in both culture and infrastructure. Complex 1 and 2 and the cultural complex are under development. This center is expected to become another attraction in Songdo through high-quality culture, shopping and business.
