The green garden holds Autumn Songdo Dalbit Park
One of the reasons why I love Korea is because of its autumn. I walk and then look up towards the sky. The wind created by a bicycle strokes my hair. It surely is autumn. A season that briefly stays where summer has moved on. It sinks deep into the heart, filled deeper and richer than time. I run out to take hold of this precious time as much as I can. I look up again to see that the sky is still. Autumn is something to appreciate.

A secret garden to die for
Where in Incheon can you fully enjoy the green nature? Songdo International City. Songdo is a futuristic city where modern European-style buildings and nature create a delicate harmony. Here, you can enjoy both urban living and the freshness of nature. Dalbit Park is said by nearby residents to be "too good to tell others about." It surely is a unique park, emitting a stillness and a mood different from any other park in Songdo. A pole where a small bird sits rises high towards the sky, and behind it spreads a wild green field. The park stretches out long in an "H" shape, with a bike lane evenly laid. For the lady down the street who loves jogging, it is where she starts her morning, and for the working couple without much time, it is a dating spot that brings back memories. For the gentleman next door who says sports is his hobby, it is the perfect riding course. Dalbit Park starts from Saeahchim Park just below Songdo 1st Bridge and continues towards Songdo 3rd Bridge. From morning to night, it is a "close-todaily-life" park which people can use at their convenience, like their own backyard. The trail facing the coastal road stands in comparison to Lake Park of Ilsan, while the 5km bike lane is popular with MTB lovers who enjoy leisure and sports. The neighborhood facilities along the park can't be missed. Sports games are available at the tennis court, basketball court, and multipurpose field. There are also all kinds of sports equipment, good for warming up before jogging. The thought of trying to put all these facilities in my backyard recalls the residents' saying: "It's a park too good to tell others about."
Revival of Neungheodae Culture Festival
Alas, it is already too late to keep Dalbit Park all to myself. This autumn, "Yeonsu Neungheodae Culture Festival" starts again at this park. "Neungheodae" is a ferry where the envoys of Baekje to China departed from. The area is registered as Monument No 8 of Incheon Metropolitan City. The global nature of Yeonsu-gu has already been proven by history. After a seven-year hiatus, Yeonsu Neungheodae Culture Festival will re-open as a cultural carnival connecting the ancient Neungheodae with Incheon New Port. The pieces of history such as the performance reenacting the parade of envoys who went through Neungheodae in the past, the historical exhibition hall of Neungheodae, and the special performance on the legend of Neungheodae's curious rocks will be recreated in Dalbit Park. There will also be events participated in directly by the residents such as the Free Stage by the People of Yeonsu-gu, Traditional Wedding Ceremony, and the Yeonsu Flea Market. Excitement you won’t want to miss includes the "Neungheodae King of King Competition," featuring games of foot volleyball, arm wrestling, gate ball, and badminton in the sports facilities of the Dalbit Park, and the "Water Games," where people can experience riding canoes and kayaks. It will be a great chance to come and boast about your sports ability. The camping zone, snack booths, and experiential booths will also add to the fun. Don't forget to see the fireworks that will embroider the autumn night from 10:00 pm. Yeonsu Neungheodae Culture Festival will open for open for three days from October 8 to 10. Autumn is a difficult time to fully capture even through calm appreciation or exciting scamper. The heat of a hot summer festival is great, but the richness enjoyed in autumn presents another composure. Wouldn’t it be a shame to spend such precious time doing nothing?
