Culture Event of Yeonsu

[Culture Event] Friday Concert

Gukak, is Korea’s national music. It is made up of two genres, folk music and court music. Folk music is what many people are accustomed to when they think gukak. It includes pansori, a vocal performance, sanjo-instrumental music, jeong-ak – instrumental and vocal, and nongak – farmers music and dance. Also included in this type of folk music is salpuri – which originates from shamanistic ritual music.

Yeonsu will be holding a concert on classic Gukak and Jazz, to share with people the beauty of Korea’s traditional music and classical music. This is an unique concert where you can enjoy the music of both worlds.

These concerts are held at the Yeonsu Art Hall on a monthly basis. The admission fee is free so don’t miss this chance to enjoy an evening of music.
