Autumn in Yeonsu

Autumn is one of the most beautiful seasons in Korea. The leaves turn beautiful colors around the entire peninsula as the weather gets colder and people love spending time outdoors. Yeonsu-Gu becomes especially beautiful during this season as there are many trees and parks in the city. 

You may be wondering when the best time to see the autumn leaves are, which is right about now! In about a week or so, the leaves will turn bright orange, red, and yellow. It will peak around October 20. The leaves in the park will remain colorful until about the beginning of November, and then the leaves will begin to fall. 

During the fall season, many shrimp and junuh, a type of Korean fish can be caught. This fish is widely enjoyed. It is usually grilled and eaten.

During autumn, if you visit the traditional Korean markets, you will be able to find a lot of shrimp and junuh. Many restaurants also serve these foods, so don't forget to try them while they are in season! 

As the weather is beautiful, it is a wonderful season to enjoy festivals a well! There will be a lovely light festival in Songdo, called the Urban Night Garden. From October 13 to October 22 Central Park will be full of lighted flowers. It will absolutely take your breath away! Don’t miss this great opportunity!
