Spring is one of the most beautiful seasons here in Korea. This is the season when many people enjoy outdoor activities due to the great weather! It is an especially fun season for cyclists! Yeonsu-gu has a great program for cyclists to enjoy. See below for more information.
■ Bicycle insurance system
Yeonsu-gu introduced Incheon's first bicycle insurance system. It provides insurance for all 340,000 residents who are registered in Yeonsu-gu. Especially, this year, the coverage was extended to foreigners registered in Yeonsu-gu! You can use your bicycle freely and receive insurance coverage until next February without any additional insurance subscription. This is a great way for people to enjoy cycling without worrying about breakdowns or accidents.
The program covers accidents and may cover some injuries. It also helps with many other fees that may occur when cycling. If you are interested you should definitely visit the Central Community Credit Cooperative Federation (1599-9010) and we'll be glad to answer.
■ Free bicycle inspection and repair
We also support free bicycle inspection and repair for local residents. It runs from March 3 to June 28, from July 4 to October 28. You can use it at the symbol plaza of Yeonsu-gu Office, and each community service centers in Yeonsu-gu
At the symbol plaza of Yeonsu-gu Office, free repairs do not include parts. If you need new parts, you should visit the community service centers in Yeonsu-gu for more helpful information. If you have any questions, please contact the construction section of Yeonsu-gu Office (032-749-8530).
