The Incheon International Relations Foundation (IIRF) is a non-profit organization aiming to promote international affairs of Incheon Metropolitan city. Since it was established by the city government, the foundation has run a wide range of events for the citizens and foreign residents in Incheon, such as dispatching Incheon delegates to another country, inviting foreign delegates to Incheon and holding global events including lectures, forums, cultural activities, etc.

 

We are currently looking for foreign students enrolled in a Korean university or foreign residents living in Korea who can actively participate in our international events.

 

■ Overview of 「IIRF Buddy」Program

> Duration: March ~ August 2014 (6 months)

* After the program is complete, a certificate will be awarded by the president of IIRF.

 

> Main Activities:

Online & Offline activities to promote the IIRF global programs

- Participate in a course of lectures on Asian countries as a member of staff

- Attend a course of lectures on Asian countries as a member of staff

- Participate in an exchange program between Incheon and Thailand as a member of staff

- Participate in a program for Incheon Youths as a member of staff

- Write an English article on an IIRF event

- Translate Korean text into English one

- Participate in a course of lectures on Asian countries as a member of staff

- Attend a course of lectures on Asian countries as a member of staff

- Participate in a course of lectures on European countries as a member of staff

- Attend a course of lectures on European countries as a member of staff

- Participate in an exchange program between Incheon and Russia as a member of staff

- Participate in a program for Incheon Youths as a member of staff

- Write an English article on an IIRF event

- Translate Korean text into English one

June

- Participate in a course of lectures on European countries as a member of staff

- Attend a course of lectures on European countries as a member of staff

- Participate in a program for Incheon Youths as a member of staff

- Write an English article on an IIRF event

- Translate Korean text into English one

July

- Participate in a program for Incheon Youths as a member of staff

- Participate in the Incheon International Youth Camp as a member of staff

- Participate in the Incheon International Youth Camp as a participant

- Write an English article on an IIRF event

- Translate Korean text into English one

August

- Participate in a program for Incheon Youths as a member of staff

- Participate in an exchange program between Incheon and London as a member of staff

- Write an English article on an IIRF event

- Translate Korean text into English one

- Choose more than one of the suggested activities per month and complete them!!

The above activities a month are tentative and they will be updated on a monthly basis.

 

■ Application

> Duration: 28 Jan. ~ 11 Feb. 2014

* Result: 18 Feb. 2014

- The result will be posted on the IIRF website.

- Selected applicants will be contacted individually.

* Orientation: 24 ~ 25 Feb. 2014

- It is mandatory to attend one of the two meetings.

 

We will select 20 people who meet the following requirements.

 

> Requirements:

* who are interested in international affairs and exchange activities

* who can speak English or Korean

* Extra points

- who can speak both languages, Korean and English

- who can have a talent of taking photos or writing an article
