Songdo’s Spectacle

Central Park
Central Park is the pivotal park connecting all of the tourist attractions of Songdo International City. When it was developed, Central Park in New York and the sluice ways of Venice served as its benchmark. Today, water-taxies operate along the sluice ways inside the park, and visitors can leisurely enjoy all the famous tourist spots, taking in skyscrapers, Tri-bowl, and the G-Tower of Songdo International City in about 25 minutes. Visitors can also seasonally enjoy water-bikes and canoes. Moreover, a waterfront café selling tea and snacks is located at the water-taxi dock.
In addition to Central Park, ‘Michuhol Park’ has recreated the view of a Korean traditional park, and “Sunrise Park” offers sports tracks for jogging, cycling, and inline skating. Moreover, “Sinsong Park”, connected to “Sunrise Park (or Haedoji Park)” by an arched bridge, is a green park overgrown with flowers and trees. “Moonlight Park (or Dalbit Park)” is well-known for its nature experience learning field for children, which includes a bird garden, a wetland garden, and the nature learning center.

Tri-bowl
Tri-bowl is a multi-purpose cultural center built with outstanding aesthetic appeal. “Korean-wave” stars such as Rain and Psy have even filmed their music videos in this site. The name Tri-bowl combines “triple” meaning three and “bowl” meaning bowl or container. As the name implies, this facility literally was built in the shape of three bowls. These three bowls symbolize the sky, the sea, and the land. It is located in the middle of a waterfront space, and therefore, makes visitors feel as if the three bowls were floating over the water.

NC CUBE Canal Walk
NC CUBE Canal Walk is a premium outlet shopping mall in Songdo. It consists of low-rise European buildings that symbolize the spring, summer, fall, and winter, and each block is created with a different concept. A long waterway notably runs between the buildings on each side, and along the waterway, sculptures, fountains, and stepping-stones are featured. A number of sophisticated European street cafes are lined up around the waterway selling tea and brunch. During weekends, cultural events such as performances, exhibitions, and events are also plentiful.

Songdo ConvensiA
Songdo ConvensiA, modeled after the Sydney Opera House, is an exhibition hall with four stories above ground and one story underground. While it is a key facility for hosting important domestic and international events, when no meetings or conferences are being held, it is utilized as a cultural experience space for citizens. It becomes a water park during the summer and is transformed into a sledding park for children during the winter. Convenience facilities such as a book café and a convenience store are located on the first floor of Songdo ConvensiA.
