Yeonsu-gu has created the Forest Experience Center for Children in Dongchun 2 Neighborhood Park,
where children can freely frolic and experience the forest. This Center provides an opportunity for children in urban areas without easy access to nature to observe the dynamic features and functions of forests. These play areas can facilitate children's emotional and physical growth. Considering the residents’ accessibility, Yeonsu-gu built this Center in Dongchun 2 Neighborhood Park close to Bongjaesan Mountain. The Center's facilities include Forest Classrooms, Secret Observatories, Insect Hotels, and Teepee Playhouses. A selected consignment company will arrange forest experience instructors to conduct experience programs for young children at daycare centers, kindergartens, and elementary schools on weekdays. On weekends, the Center will be open free of charge to families with young children. Residents of Yeonsu-gu will now be able to watch their children grow and learn in the Center's beautiful nature.
