A commission of 22 experts from three divisions, including external cooperation, GNLC, and subject matter was convened. The comission was comprised of Choi Un-sil, Chairman of the Advisory Committee, Kwak Sang-wook, Chairman of the National Lifelong Learning City Council, etc. Through listening to expert knowledge, diverse opinions the meeting was successfully hosted.
An advisory committee was convened to appoint experts from each field in Korea, and share their progress heading into the ‘2021 5th UNESCO Learning Cities International Conference (ICLC)’, which will be held in Songdo Convensia this fall.
For the successful hosting of the 5th ICLC, the Advisory Committee became a place to listen to professional knowledge and diverse opinions in each field, including planning and external cooperation, GNLC, and other subject matters.
Choi Un-sil, chairman of the UIL's top expert advisory committee, and Lee Sung, head of the World Center for Citizenship Education, were the co-vice chairmen, while seven members, including Kim Yeon-myung, former Senior Presidential Secretary for Social Affairs, and Lee Jang-ik, a professor at New York State University, participated.
In addition, 13 people, including Park Yang-woo, a professor at Chung-Ang University's Graduate School of Arts, Kwak Sang-wook, Mayor of Osan City Council, and Moon Seok-jin, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu District, were appointed as GNLC and expert members.
Yeonsu-gu plans to actively reflect the residents opinions by appointing district council members, such as Lee Kang-gu, Lee Eun-soo, Jung Tae-sook, Lee In-ja, and Cho Min-kyung as expert members in their respective field.
