2014 Incheon Asian Games homestay recruitment announcement

 

 

To provide housing that is in shortage during the 2014 Incheon Asian Games ·  Asian Para Games and to provide visiting foreigners the opportunity to experience a Korean household and spread awareness of our traditional culture, we are recruiting homes to volunteer as homestay hosts and seek your participation.

 

 

2014 Incheon Asian Games homestay recruitment

 

  Recruitment period: April 1, 2014 ~ June 30 (3 months)
o  Operation period: September 2014 ~ October (during the Asian Games)
  Recruiting households: to accommodate 30,000 people
  Participation requirements: any household with more than 2 members / households able to understand cultural differences and can house foreign guests

General affairs and other noted items

 

A.  Homestay service charge (paid by guest)
a.  30,000 Won (for 1 person) per night (1 meal included), 50,000 Won (for 2 people), 60,000 Won (for 3 people)
B.  If needed, translator volunteer provided
C.  Health insurance support (10,000,000 Won liability, etc.) and community service record accumulation (maximum 8 hours per day)
D.  Number of homestay days: accommodates guest’s preferences, guest will be connected with the homestay family after consulting the participating family
E.  Meal menu: the default will be Korean unless requested otherwise by guest
F.  Internet availability, TV viewing, shopping, cultural experience guidance, and other convenience recommended for a favorable experience
