Yeonsu-gu’s Council of Women hosted a traditional cucumber pickle-making event for multicultural families on the 9th in front of the borough office at Sangjing plaza.

At this event, there were 50 multicultural family homemakers who participate in Korean language education, self-help meeting, cultural experience, and various other programs in Yeonsu-gu Multicultural Family Support Center.

The traditional cucumber pickle-making event, with the Council of Women’s members and marriage migrant women, provided an opportunity to foster interest in the yet unfamiliar Korean traditional culture and to form a sense of connectedness.

The Council of Women’s president stated “various sections of society needs to work to support multicultural families in adjusting to Korean culture” and plans to “push for various businesses that multicultural families can participate in together.”
