Yeonsu-gu introduction

We introduce you to the Yeonsu-gu Multicultural Family Support Center.

The Yeonsu-gu Multicultural Family Support Center

The Yeonsu-gu Multicultural Family Support Center held its grand opening ceremony on May 31, 2011.

The Yeonsu-gu Multicultural Family Support Center offers various cultural activities, employment training, Korean language education, etc. for multicultural families within the district.

Inchon’s Yeonsu-gu Multicultural Family Support Center is located in the Inchon City, Yeonsu District, Chunghak-dong residential area.  On the same 4th floor on which the Yeonsu-gu Multicultural Family Support Center is located, there is a Senior Resources Development Center, Employment Information Center, office of the Multicultural Family Support Center’s superintendent, and Infant Care Information Sharing Center.

Within the Yeonsu-gu Multicultural Family Support Center, there is a multicultural family group workplace.  The group workplace was formed in January 2012 to help provide immigrant women a financial foundation.  It is a community that provides education and employment for immigrant women who face employment difficulties due to language barriers.

Beautiful community service projects made from sewing are displayed in front of the Yeonsu-gu Multicultural Family Support Center.  These works were created in the multicultural family group workplace.

For 10 weeks from August 27 to November, there will be an introductory confectionery and bakery class twice a week for a total of 60 hours.
This course is a part of the Center’s specialized institute.  It takes 15 individuals and is geared toward fostering self-realization through actual employment and to spark a desire for economic participation.

In addition, the Yeonsu-gu Multicultural Family Support Center hosts various family programs for multicultural families to facilitate early adjustment to the Korean culture and to improve family relations.

In order to participate in Korean language classes, please visit the Yeonsu-gu Multicultural Family Support Center with your certificate of alien registration, Family Relationship Registration, and a copy of your resident registration.  You will then need to fill out a membership registration form and a program participation form and complete a simple level test to join a Korean language class.
