Story of Incheon

[Incheon Tour] Incheon International Airport

[Incheon Tour]

Incheon International Airport

If you are a foreigner here in Korea,

there is a pretty good chance that you have been to Incheon Airport.

Incheon Airport is consistently rated among the top best airports in the world.

There’s so much stuff to do while waiting for your flight that one can never be bored.

However, have you ever checked out what there is to do around the airport?

Maybe you just arrived and your friend is stuck in traffic, so you’re left waiting.

Or maybe you got to the airport only to find out there’s a delay - long enough to wait to go through security, but not long enough to go home and come back.

So, what can you do?

I would recommend going to the inline skating rink.

You will probably be on the airplane for a long time, so why not burn some calories and have fun before your flight?

They are open between 10:00 in the morning to 8:00 at night.

It’s 5,000 won for one hour for adults.

Maybe you don’t feel like doing anything but kicking back and watching a movie.

There is a CGV movie theatre that plays all of the latest movies.

My husband and I went to watch a movie.

I was really curious about the layout.

I thought that the screen wouldn’t be big, but it was a normal size screen but a smaller theatre.

The man took your ticket right next to the screen.

The CGV movie theatre and skating rink are right next to each other.

Follow the signs that take you to the train.

You have to pass both in order to take a train.

There is also a lot of musical entertainment to be found outside security, too.

On the 2nd floor close to the check-in areas, there is a small stage with performances at 4:30 PM, 5:30 PM, and 6:30 PM every day.

When we went, the performers sang a lot of songs from famous musicals.

(Some were in Korean, and some were in English.)

We were also able to hear a band that was playing from within the gates on the 3rd floor observation area.

The 3rd floor consists mostly of restaurants,

but there’s a small area where you can observe the planes landing and taking off.

At that area, if you’re lucky,

you’ll be able to catch groups playing classical pieces of music for the passengers.

I have never said, “Hey, wanna go hang out at the airport?”

to anyone, but I’m glad I did it.

I had a lot of fun running around the airport and seeing so many different things - without rushing to catch a flight.

So if you ever get stranded at Incheon Airport, you won’t get bored.

Happy ventures!
