We introduce you to the Yeonsu Public Libraries.

 

We introduce you to the 3 Yeonsu Public Libraries: Yeonsu Chunghak Library, Songdo International Children’s Library, and Yeonsu Children’s Library.

Since the opening of Yeonsu Children’s Library in November 1, 2006, we have been pushing forward with the construction of further libraries in our aim to increase the accessibility of information available to the local residence and to decrease the knowledge gap that exists between the local residents.

Yeonsu Chunghak Library

 Yeonsu Chunghak Library is Yeonsu-gu’s main library and carries out the central role.

The basement floor has a seminar room, the 1st floor has children’s reading materials, the 3rd floor has overall reference materials and digital materials, the 4th floor has a outdoor garden and a multi-purpose room that houses approximately 30,000 books.

Yeonsu Children’s Library

 Yeonsu Children’s Library is a children’s library that seeks to provide children with appropriate reading and various materials and to offer diverse educational programs and concerts.  It aims to be not only a reading area but an area where children can experience enjoyment with books.

Songdo International Children’s Library.

As the first public library opened in Songdo International City, it provides global information services through specialized foreign language materials and offers an integrated program through a hybrid of books and the English language. 

The 1st floor has a breast-feeding room and a young children’s reading room, among other amenities, and also the international materials room.

The 2nd floor has the multimedia zone, over 10,000 foreign language-related materials (including Enlgish, Chinese, and Japanese), foreign language materials, the global village, and other children’s English proficiency determination programs
