Memorial Hall for Incheon Landing Operation.




 

This memorial hall is located at Ongnyeon-dong, Yeonsu. It is a war memorial hall built to commemorate Incheon landing operation led by UN Commander in Chief General McArthur during the Korean War.


 



The Korean War was one of the most tragic wars in modern day history.  Many people gave up their lives to help protect the Korean peninsula. This War Memorial was built in their honor to pay tribute to their courrage and sacrifice..

Many Korean people were also grateful for the freddom that was given to them as a result of this war. In rememberence of those who lost their lives and to show gratitude, the Korean people, regular citizens also dontaed a lot of money to help erect this War Memorial.

 






There are three halls including an outdoor exhibition as well. There is also a 18 meter-long memorial tower and the national flags of the 16 countries that participated in the Korean War are flying high here.  

 






If you need foreign language interpretation services, you must make reservation at least 3 days in advance.

The services are available in English, Japanese and Chinese.

The operating hours are from 9am to 6pm. They are closed on Mondays.
