City Symbol
Like any city, Yeonsu-Gu has it’s own City Symbol. This blue oval shape
that you see represents the sea of Incheon while the white oval in the
center represents the sound “o” which is the first syllable sound of
Yeonsu-Gu. The red triangle that you see symbolizes globalization and
the two green triangles symbolize the environment and Yeonsu-Gu’s
efforts to be a more eco-friendly city.
City Tree
Yeonsu-Gu’s tree is the Zelkova tree. This tree has been a part of
Yeonsu-Gu since the city was first found. The trunk of the tree
symbolizes the iron will of Yeonsu-Gu and the branch harmony, and
leaves courtesy. By choosing this tree as the City Tree, it is Yeonsu-Gu’s
goal that it perform all civil affairs with harmony and strong will.
City Bird
The city bird of Yeonsu-Gu is the crane. The crane represents long life
and a prosperous future. It means that the city will serve its residents with
resilience and move together towards a prosperous future.
City Flower
The city flower of Yeonsu-Gu is the Azalea. The Azalea is a beautiful
flower often representing love. By choosing this flower, it means the City
will treat its citizens with love.
