It was opened on Oct. 31, 1995 and transferred to a new place on Nov. 1, 2006 after the construction of a new building in Ongnyeon-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. Including 14 pieces of cultural assets (1 national treasure and 13 treasures), the Gachon Museum has a total of 20,000 pieces of relics including about 1,000 pieces of medical and living relics, 5,200 pieces of general antique books, 500 pieces of modern governmental records, and 9,100 pieces of first issued periodicals that is the largest amount in Korea.
