If you are a foreigner living in Korea, it is wise to make an alien registration card. 

You will need one to be able to open a phone account, bank account, 

get a driver’s license, and other activities that require a Korean identification card. 

Also, according Korean regulations, if you are residing in Korea for more than a 90 day period, 

you must apply for an alien registration card.

It is not that difficult to apply for a card. 

We will go through the steps here with you today. 

First you will need to prepare your documents.

Documents Needed

Passport, application, 2 passport size photos, application fee (10,000won)

One thing to remember is that you will need to book an appointment in advance.

 Like many of the Korean government sites, if you have a Macintosh you may run into trouble trying to download the applications. You may want to try from a PC.
