 in each dong.

The Yeonsu-gu Public Health Center operates a “Moving Healthcare Bus” for civil petitioners in each dong communtiy service center of Yeonsu-gu as well as program participants.

According to Yeonsu-gu, it was first in the country to operate a “Moving Healthcare Bus” beginning June 2011 that provides a one-stop healthcare system.  The Moving Healthcare Bus offers local residents basic tests and physical fitness assessments as well as chronic illness treatments and consultations.

Through this, the Moving Bus acts as a “Moving Health Center” by visiting local residents at apartments, shopping areas, public institutions, supermarkets, traditional markets, etc. and supporting the continuous healthy life practice of the residents.

The “Moving Healthcare Bus” always has 4 people in charge (sports therapist, nurse, nutritionist, etc.) and offers basic tests and physical fitness assessments.

Additionally, based on the assessments, the residents receive consultations concerning workout, nutrition, chronic illness treatment, etc. The residents will receive continued assistance following the consultation through referral to the Public Health Center’s Overall Health Promotion Center.

This “Moving Healthcare Bus” will be making its rounds by dong beginning the upcoming 15th for 1 month. You can find further information through the Public Heath Center’s Health Promotion Department (☎ 749-8125).

Yeonsu-gu’s “Moving Healthcare Bus” ranked 1st in the country as exemplary in the cultural welfare category by the Ministry of Security and Public Administration and the Korea Productivity Center in their co-sponsored “3rd Local Government Productivity Award”.
