On the 9th, the district office held a preliminary briefing session on the "Collaboration Project for Improving Food Culture and Foreign Settlement Environment" to strengthen food hygiene and create a foreigner-friendly environment. The "Collaboration Project Improving Food Culture and Foreign Settlement Environment" is a project conducted jointly by central ministries, Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, and Yeonsu-gu to prevent the waste of administrative power by each institution and maximize business effects.
Yeonsu-gu plans to support the successful hosting of the 2021 5th International Conference for UNESCO Learning Cities (ICLC), scheduled for October, by eliminating language barriers when foreigners use restaurants and creating a foreigner-friendly and safe dining culture by the standardized of a hygiene management and certification system.
Companies participating in the project will participate in the restaurant hygiene rating system, the foreigner-friendly business certification system, and the safe restaurant designation system.
The goal is to get all three certification in the second half of the year.

The preliminary briefing session was attended by business managers from related departments and sales owners of food service providers in Songdo-dong. Guidance on business schedules and certification systems was offered.
Meanwhile, Yeonsu-gu supports sanitary products support for designated businesses, and links the Yeonsu-gu resident's convenience map to "Maybe 100 doors will be opened," and "Hygiene & Safety Double Up! Outstanding Restaurant". It will also actively support promotion through SNS and booklet distribution.
