As you probably are well aware, Yeonsu-Gu strongly believes a great city thinks of its citizens first. There is nothing more important than the health the people! Yeonsu-Gu believes a healthy life begins with a healthy environment. It is important to protect the environment for the health and well being of the people!

There are many simple things that can be done to protect the environment. As citizens of the earth, we can start with simple things like recycling and creating less waste!

Another way to is by driving less! Yeonsu-Gu is promoting a car free day to help the environment while providing people with great benefits!

Please see below on this new car free day campaign!

As a driver and owner of a car, you can choose a day in which you would like to be car free. You will then need to receive an electronic tag to put on your car so that Yeonsu-Gu is aware that you have not driven your car on that day. Any day from Monday – Friday can be chosen.

As long as you have a car which seats less than 10 people and is registered with Incheon Metropolitan City, you are able to participate in this campaign. You need to make sure though, that you do not drive your car on the day that you have set from 7AM – 8PM. (This does not apply to commercial vehicles)

Should you like to participate in this campaign please visit the community service center or Yeonsu Traffic Administration Division.

You may register online at (http://no-driving.incheon.go.kr/Main.)do and pick up electric tag at the agency of your choice.

As you register your vehicle, RFID reader will check your vehicle for any violations and send you a ticket. For more information on violations you should check with the traffic administration division.

If you want to cancel self-car-free day registration, simply remove electric tag. If you have not driven your vehicle over 90 days or make more than 5 violations, it will automatically be canceled.

Benefits are 5% discount for auto tax, 30-50% discount for public parking, 20% discount for traffic induced charge and more!
