Typhoon Preparedness 


As typhoon Soulik passed through the Korea Peninsula, it must have given everyone a scare! 


Although the typhoon did not affect the metropolitan areas of Seoul,


 as typhoon seasons comes near, it is always good to prepare. 





Here are some tips and what you should know a natural disaster such as a typhoon come 


into your area.





It is always good to keep in your home an emergency kit. 


An emergency kit should include your first aid kit, a flashlight, extra batteries, candles, 


and basic supplies in case of a power outage. 


It is also good to have a source of water that you can 


tap in to in case you do not have access to water.


 There are sites that you can refer to that have a full list of what should be


 in your emergency supply kit.





You and your family should always have a plan. 


Make a plan and go over it with members of your family so that you are


 all on the same page and communication methods are clear.





If your home has windows, 


make sure to board up your windows and make sure that they are securely shut. 





Also, it is always good to have a radio in handy. 


Make sure to pay close attention to the TV or radio so that you are updated on the situation.





Stay indoors and away from glass that may shatter.





If you live near the coast or the waterway, evacuate your family to higher grounds.

It is always best that you are prepared.
