Are you familiar with the word Haedoji?

Haedoji is a term used in Korea to represent the passing of one year and the first sunrise on January 1. 

It is Korea tradition that on New Year’s one should watch the first sunrise of the year. 

As the sun rises, there are many people that also make wishes for the year to come. 

On December 31, you will see many people heading towards the eastern cost to watch the first sunrise.
