YEONSU INVITES EVERYONE TO HELP BUILD ITS FUTURE THE WOMEN-FRIENDLY CITY CITIZEN’S ACTION GROUP

Yeonsu-gu established

a Citizen’s Action Group

and recruited members

to create a public-private network

capable of collecting opinions and

feedback in terms of gender equality

from residents belonging to

a wide variety of social backgrounds

to help build a women-friendly city

and improve its ability to execute

its intended initiatives.

 

The Group is open

to all Yeonsu-gu residents

interested in creating

a women-friendly city.

 

Members serve in various capacities

e.g. policy proposals, monitoring,

public relations, etc.

 

The fourth Citizen’s Action

Group was convened to make sure

Yeonsu-gu can be selected

as a women-friendly city again

for the project’s next cycle.

 

It is currently active

in a number of different fields.

 

The Group had its commissioning

and launching ceremony on April 25,

and thereafter monitored

the safety mirror project.

 

In addition,

the Group began a capacity

building program in July

to improve the expertise

of its members.
