[Yeonsu News] Yeonsu-gu Tests Unmanned Illegal Parking Control System for Handicap Parking Zone

Yeonsu-gu is test operating the ‘unmanned illegal parking control system for handicap parking zone’ to ensure the mobility for the people with disability and provide more convenient parking service.

A total of 15 unmanned control system units were installed at the handicap parking zone in the Yeonsu-gu office building and the Okryeon 2-dong administrative welfare center with additional 2 units slated for installation in December.

This IoT technology-using, around-the-clock system finds out if a car entering the handicap parking zone is registered for the handicap by reading out its license plate number and alerts any non-handicap registered car with the red light warning to have an illegally parked car move voluntarily.

The system is capable of imposing a fine, based on the video information of an illegally parked car, and will consider the fine imposition at the end of the 3-month test operation.
