Yeonsu-gu hosted its ‘1st Employment and Recruitment Convention-2015 (Il-gu Day)’ at the Yeonsu

 

Employment Center(Yeonsu-gu Cheong-neung Rd 109 Top-pion Building 4th floor) on Thursday, March 19th , 2~4PM. 

 

Il-gu Day, whose name is an abbreviation of a Korean phrase ‘Day for getting a job,’ first started in 2013. For the past two years, out of the 1,347 participants 550 were interviewed 1-on-1, and 248 were offered jobs, showing a 45% rate of success in securing a job. 

 

This year’s ‘Il-gu Day’ events will be held monthly on the 19th from March through November. However, due to ‘Yeonsu Job Fair’ in May and October, and severe weather in July and December, these months will be an exception. 

 

During the event, human resources managers from six firms including firms located in Songdo International City/South-East Industrial Complex and businesses related to Incheon International Airport Duty-free merchandise will personally conduct interviews and offer jobs directly on the site. 

 

If a job-seeking participant attends the event and presents a resume, he or she will not only be able to get an interview but also be provided with various consultation services related to employment opportunities. 

 

Also, Yeonsu-gu will host ‘Yeonsu Job Fair’ in May and October at the Yeonsu-gu Symbol Square to offer job-seekers with various job opportunities. For further information, contact the Department of Job Creation at (☎ 749-8472). 

This event has been planned in order to provide residents with information on employment and offer high quality jobs. Moreover, there are future plans to offer an aggressive employment support service through implementing a systematic follow-up management of job seekers.
