Living in a foreign country is exciting, but there are a lot of little things that need to be taken into consideration as well. Over the years, Korea has had more than 2 million foreigners reside in Korea for extended periods of time.
There are a lot of foreigners living in Songdo as well. One of the issues that many people worry about is getting sick and health insurance.
If you are one of these people, we have great news for you.
Health insurance is available to foreigners residing in Korea or visitors staying for an extended period of time.
To define extended period, it is for people staying in Korea for more than 90 days and that have registered themselves as a foreign resident in Korea. One criteria is, you must have one of the following visas, D,E,F or H visa.

If you would like to register for health insurance, the following documents are needed.

You will need to register via the National Health Insurance Corporation in Korea. More information can be obtained on the site below. Keep in mind, if you are employed in Korea, it is your employers responsibility to register you for your health insurance.
