[YeonsuNews] Yeonsu-gu, starting today, free flu vaccines for children and pregnant women, etc.

To prevent the spread of influenza (flu) this winter, Yeonsu-gu has been conducting free vaccinations at local consigned medical institutions, starting from the 14th on children and pregnant women, ect.

 

The target group for vaccination is 110,000 people aged 6 months to 12 years old, the elderly 65 years or older, pregnant women, the severely disabled, people of national merit, and recipients of basic livelihood, As the COVID-19 vaccination is carried out at the same time, the vaccination date is divided by target group and age.

 

The target group to be vaccinated by date are: Pregnant women and those who got two doses of flu vaccine shot (6 months to 8 years old) who receive the flu shot for the first time from September 14 to April 30, and those who got a single flu vaccine shot (up to the age of 12) are until February 28 next year.

 

From October 12th to February 28th next year, 75 years of age or older, 70 to 74 years of age from October 18th to February 28th next year, 65 to 69 years of age from October 21th to Febuary 28th next year, severely disabled people (existing grades 1 to 3), national merit, and recipients in Yeonsu-gu can be vaccinated free of charge at consigned medical institutions from October 12th to November 30th.

 

Those who wish to be vaccinated for free can check the vaccination period by age on the vaccination helper website (nip.kdca.go.kr) and visit a designated medical institution nearby regardless of the address. 

 

Meanwhile, the COVID-19 vaccination response team said it is possible to inoculate two vaccines at once on the same day without restrictions on the inoculation interval between the COVID-19 vaccine and the flu vaccine, but recommends inoculation on different arms.
