Yeonsu-gu completes the detailed design and selection of a contractor for the new renovation of the Cheonghak-dong Administrative Welfare Center in the Cheonghak Public Parking Lot, and construction begins at the end of September.
The Cheonghak-dong Administrative Welfare Center was completed in 1994, and the final relocation location was decided by collecting opinions from residents due to problems such as the facility becoming outdated.
The winning work this time is 'Turning on the local community that connects the flow of nature, culture and history'. Based on the basic concept of ‘Cheonghakru,’ it was built as a public building that coexists with the local community and focused on a new design, breaking away from the existing image.
In particular, it plans to play the role of a regional community base by creating a complex space that is eco-friendly and can be used conveniently by anyone, such as zero energy, green building, and pre-certification for an obstacle-free living environment, and combines culture and welfare.
With a total project cost of KRW 11.2 billion, the total floor area is 4,999.73㎡, with one basement level and four above ground, and it is planned to be completed in 2023 as one of the living SOC projects that include a residential parking lot, a community care center, and a government building.
