[Yeonsu News] NIGHT ONE-STOP ON-SITE MANAGEMENT AGAINST COVID-19 FOR FOREIGNERS, ETC. IN HAMBAK VILLAGE, YEONSU-GU

YEONSU-GU has managed large-scale one-stop on-site management activities over entire area of Hambak Village where massive foreigners live at last night on the 24th as the number of foreign COVID positive patients increased after CHUSEOK holiday despite of implementing special quarantine measures for foreigners.

 

A temporary screening clinic was set up at the Hambak Village Welfare Culture Center Square from 7 P.M. to work leaving hours of foreign workers to conduct PCR tests. By opening vaccination center on the second floor, Janssen vaccination has been given to foreigners.

 

From 2 P.M to 9 P.M they toured 30 places around including PC rooms, singing rooms, etc. in Hambak Village to guide the implementation of four stages social distancing quarantine rules and other guiding activities such as suspending business after 22:00.

 

And then from 9 P.M. total 27 men including 23 district office employees and 4 employees at YEONSU police station are divided into groups and patrolled restaurants, cafes, and entertainment establishments in Hambak Village and DONGCHUN-DONG area with a large number of foreigners to conduct inspection activities until midnight.

 

On this day, officials from the public health center toured the temporary screening clinic, the vaccination center, etc. at the Hambak Village Welfare and Culture Center to encourage the people concerned along with quarantine activities.

 

Currently, the total number of registered foreigners in YEONSU-GU is the population. 7,587 people which is about 41% of the foreign residents in Hambak Village, YEONSU 1-DONG alone live. Gu proceeded special quarantine measures for foreigners centered here so far.

 

In particular, in order to form collective immunity quickly, four stages one-stop intensive quarantine and medical control are being implemented including intensive quarantine, PR, diagnostic testing, vaccination, and intensive crackdown on high-risk facilities.

 

In addition, at the Vaccination Center (SEONHAK Gymnasium) in YEONSU-GU, total 848 people including 495 people in the 1st vaccination, 353 people in the 2nd vaccination, etc. have got vaccinated enable unregistered foreigners to get vaccinated on site with passport or documents that they can prove themselves

 

In addition to Hambak Village, foreigners living in YEONSU-GU are operating an exclusive vaccination window by adding one additional doctor so that they can always give Janssen vaccine at anytime at the SEONHAK Gymnasium Vaccination Center in YEONSU-GU until September 30.

 

Prior to this, Gu has been actively promoting PCR testing and vaccination by using SNS and banners translated in foreign languages (Russia) using foreign communities, etc. in YEONSU 1-DONG.

 

At the temporary screening clinic visiting the Hambak Village Welfare Culture Center, which lasted two hours on the day, total 77 foreign workers got PCR tests and turned out negative.

 

Meanwhile, in YEONSU-GU, 45.5% of all COVID-19 positives in September including families, acquaintances, etc. in Hambak Village, were foreigners, which was nearly three times the national rate of foreigner positive cases, 16%.
