A Cup of Traditional Korean Tea?




As the weather gets colder, one way to stay warm and keep healthy is to enjoy a cup of traditional Korean tea.

Teas are known to have great healing powers, and Korea has some of the best teas!





There are many traditional teas in Korea, some of the ones that people enjoy are teas made from roots, grains, and fruits.

Teas made from roots are used for various medicinal purposes as well.

Root teas that are popular in Korea are ginseng, ginger, doonggule tea (Soloman’s Seal Tea), and kudzu root tea.

These teas are all great at increasing immunities and helps relieve stress.

Ginger teas are known to help digestion and ease your stomach.





Teas that are enjoyed almost every day by Korean people are barley tea and corn teas.

You will find these teas served both hot and cold with meals.

Boricha or barley tea is rich in antioxidents.

It is also known to improve blood circulation!

Corn tea, is a great source of vitamin C and also is a known hydrator.

It is also known to stabilize blood sugar!





Also popular in Korea are fruit teas. Some of the more popular fruit teas are yuja tea, omija tea, and plum tea.

Yuja tea is a favorite enjoyed by royals during the Chosun Dynasty.

IT is a citrom tea that is relieves coughing, sore throats, soothes sea sickness, 

enhances the skim complexion, and a great source of vitamin C.

Omija tea is a five berry tea. It is known to have detoxing effects and enjoyed both hot and cold.

Plum tea is another tea that has powerful effects!

It helps digestion and is good to drink after a meal.
