Yeonsu-gu will set up a regular maintenance system for illegal floating advertisements that harm urban environmental aesthetics to maintain a clean, safe and pleasant urban environment.
In an effort to minimize inconvenience to local residents, the distrtict plans to conduct a special nighttime crackdown on illegal advertisements at night such as airlights, along with tours to eradicate illegal floating advertisements on weekends and holidays.
To eradicate unauthorized distribution of advertisements by illegal advertisers, the automatic warning system for illegal floating advertisements will be introduced. Incheon began operating this system in 2020, which uses an automatic warning call to the phone number written on illegal advertisements such as illegal roadside banners, adult materials, loan leaflets, etc.
The resident reporting system will also be activated to eliminate illegal floating advertisements by conducting a compensation system for collecting illegal advertisements, a monitoring group for reporting illegal floating advertisements, etc.
In particular, Yeonsu-gu declared the third Wednesday of every month as “Clean-Sign Day” in cooperation with public institutions and related organizations in the area to implement maintenance activities such as self-maintenance of public banners and crackdowns on illegal banner displays.
