Chuseok is just a couple of weeks away!
As everyone gets ready
for this holiday in Korea,
you may be wondering
what is Chuseok?
Chuseok also known as
hangawi is a harvest festival,
a Korean thanksgiving.
Chuseok is celebrated
on the 15th day of the 8th month
of the lunar calendar.
This year, it is September 12,13,
and 14. Chuseok day is
September 13 this year.
The holiday is a celebration
of a years harvest.
In modern days,
it is a time for families
to get together and
eat and celebrate together.
There are many traditional foods
that are eaten on this day.
We will introduce Chuseok foods

On this day,
families also visit grave sites
to pay respects to their ancestors.
There are families that also
have a ancestral ceremony
in their homes as well.
During Chuseok,
there are many places that are closed
so if you are planning to go somewhere,
you should check first.

you should make your plans accordingly.
