As one of the ‘YEONSU Urban Garden Culture Revitalization’ projects, YEONSU-gu got started to create SEONHAK urban garden zone around 231 SEONHAK-dong with residents around.

We put our best effort to create beautiful urban garden by operating one-pyeong garden class which is one of the cultural education programs offering guerrilla gardening classes, etc.
Following the horticultural and landscaping lecture in last June where one can plant one’s own flowers and make plant pots. Since September, one pyeong garden class has been run to one’s own taste with the curriculum of understanding of garden plants, garden design class, etc.
Currently, there are 26 teams and about 50 members working in one pyeong gardening classroom. It gains positive response for creating room for relaxation to participating residents, beautiful walk zone for local residents, and so on.
Gu officials said, “We will continue to encourage participation of the isolated class to urban garden cultural project.” adding it will offer healing time through diverse gardening culture education and sustainable projects encouraging local communities to communicate.
