[Yeonsu News] Seonhak Byulbit Library Hosts Astronomy Cultural Events

Seonhak Byulbit Library will hold astronomy cultural events such as meetings with the authors, lectures, and astronomical experience for about a month from the 6th of this month for the occurrence of a ‘Partial lunar eclipse’ on November 19th.

 

From 11 A.M. on the 6th, the ‘All Planets Have Their Spot’ event will be held for 1st and 2nd grade elementary school students, where they study the planets of the solar system. Starting at 10:20 A.M. on the 20th, ‘Astronomy on The BIlls’ will be held for 3rd and 4th grade of elementary school students, where they can make the astronomical telescope and the Armillary sphere depicted on the KRW 10,000 bill.

 

On the 20th, at 3 pm, there will a lecture titled “How the Universe Started?” by Kwang-sik Lee, author of several best-selling astronomical books including the “Astronomy Concert.” He will talk about the story of the Big Bang Theory and the origin of the elements.

 

At 3 pm on December 18th, a meeting with Oh-cheol Kwon, author of 'Aurora, Light of Life,’ which is being screened at the Planetarium, is scheduled. It will be an opportunity to listen to Oh-cheol Kwon's aurora shooting experience.
