Taegeukgi, the national flag of Korea

 


The national flag of Korea is "Taegeukgi". It has been used historically since 1882. It is composed of the shape of the taegeuk mark on the white background and the black line on the four corners. The white background represents ' light, ' ' pure, ' and ' peace. ' The middle taegeuk mark represents the energy of the universe. The four corners of the black line represent the sky, land, water, and fire.

 



Aegukga, the national anthem of Korea

 


The national anthem of Korea is "Aegukga". It is a song sung a lot to remind people of the spirit of loving their country even during the colonial rule of Japan. Though it was sung in many forms, the Korean national anthem, composed by Ahn Eak-tae, has been called the national anthem of the Republic of Korea since August 15, 1948.

 



Tiger, Korea's representative animal

 


The animal that represents Korea is the "tiger". The Republic of Korea, where more than 70 percent of its territory is covered by mountains, was once called the ' Land of the Tigers ' because many tigers lived there. Tigers have also appeared in many legends in the past. Don't forget that the powerful and brave figure of ' Tiger ' is one of the most popular animals in Korea!

 



Mugunghwa, the national flower of Korea

 


The national flower of Korea is "Mugunghwa", which is also featured in the national anthem. Mugunghwa, which produces more than 3,000 flowers in a single tree during the summer, represents a cooperative Korea.
